Debére secures exciting international full-service accountancy contract

Washington based accountancy firm, Debére, has secured a contract to provide tax support and a full outsourced finance function with a Hong Kong based product and development trading company.

The Product Workshop Ltd., headquartered in Hong Kong, specialises in consumer products with particular focus on developing First Person View (FPV) remote control vehicles under the brand Kobotix. Kobotix ‘Real Racer’ FPV vehicles allow the users to use their smartphone to ‘put themselves in the driver’s seat for a fully immersive view’.

Kobotix primarily uses Amazon US and UK to handle sales of the FPV vehicles and, until recently, was utilising a UK based sales partner to handle UK business on its behalf. As part of The Product Workshop’s plans to expand into and invest in the UK, the company has set up a new entity in order to handle all UK based business in-house, eventually, will open a sales office and research and development (R&D) centre in the UK.

Following a competitive pitching process Debére was awarded the contract to provide The Product Workshop, with tax support focussing on R&D projects as well as a fully outsourced finance function. As part of Debére’s outsourcing service, the team will handle all of The Product Workshop Ltd’s newly incorporated UK company’s finances, payroll, and management accounts.

The win comes at a very exciting time for Debére, which was recently accepted to join Praxity, the world's largest alliance of best-in-class, independent, and unaffiliated audit and consultancy companies.
